December TBR Challenge : The Wilde Thing by Janelle Denison

SHE CAN’T STOP THINKING OF HIM

Serious bad boy. That’s what Liz Adams thinks when she catches sight of dark, gorgeous Steve Wilde sitting at a table in her coffee house, giving her a look of bold, satisfying appraisal that has nothing to do with her espresso skills. Still, the man is the best P.I. in town, and the only person who might be able to help Liz track down her irresponsible, free-spirited cousin . . . if she can manage to spend more than two minutes in his company without surrendering to the wild fantasies dancing in her head.

HE CAN’T STOP WANTING HER

Oh, baby. That’s exactly how Steve Wilde feels every time he comes into Liz’s cafe and catches sight of her sexy figure behind the counter. But a man can only pretend to be interested in the pastries for so long. Now that Liz has opened the door to him, Steve intends to storm right through it, along with her defenses, and show the aloof beauty what she’s been missing . . . and what he intends to do about it, slowly, deliberately, deliciously . . .

THERE’S NO STOPPING EITHER OF THEM

Now, in a cat-and-mouse game where the thrill of the forbidden is never quite enough, a business arrangement is about to yield to pleasure . . . and the temptations that can only be found when hearts run wild . . .

Title: The Wilde Thing

Author: Janelle Denison

Year published: July 2003

Why did you get this book? A friend of mine read book one in the anthology I Brake for Bad Boys. She thought I would like it and loaned me this book plus two other Wilde Series books to me.

Do you like the cover? As far as covers go it’s ok. I mean the leather vest is yummy, the guy has nice arms and we can ogle his butt. This particular book has a second cover used for the 04 reprint and this one is much better than that one.

Did you enjoy the book? Yes very much so, I read the first story that was in the anthology I mentioned above, then this one and then book three in the Bad Boys to Go Anthology. In this book Steve the oldest Wilde brother meets his match both in and out of the bedroom. No real suspense to this plot line just a good read with a great couple. The sub-plot was clever and helped to heat up the growing relationship between Liz and Steve. The sex is this book is hot and each Wilde brother is hotter than the last. I can’t wait to read the next set of book in the series.

Was the author new to you and would you read something by this author again? Yes she was and yes I plan on finishing her Wilde series and then plowing my way through her back list.

Are you keeping it or passing it on? Passing it back to it’s owner, but I enjoyed it enough that I may have to invest in the series for my keeper’s shelf.
